Michael Macartney, the owner and site supervisor of Woodquest Construction Ltd. has 30 years of hands-on experience in the custom home sector. Originally from Toronto, he moved to Vancouver in 1990, following his passion for building homes. As a Journeyman Carpenter and site supervisor, Michael has built and renovated over 50 custom homes with budgets ranging in between $ 2-15 million.
Michael believes that only a small company like Woodquest that handles one project at a time, operates with low overhead and has an extremely versatile crew, can satisfy the needs of custom home owners and come up with creative solutions for their building challenges.
As your General Contractor, aside from being in constant contact with your architect, designer and the sub-trades, Michael will assist in every step of the building process from estimating, researching and sourcing out materials and technologies, preparing mock-ups, samples, overseeing the project from drawings to finishing stages and also remaining on the tools through out to ensure the highest quality standards.
